Embracing new beginnings: we’re back, again!

We’re back! (again…)

Welcome (back!) to Dear Sorella! If you’ve been here since the beginning, you might remember Dear Sorella as a little home studio in North Bay, Ontario, filled with handpicked pieces my sister and I loved. We started it during a time when the world felt a bit closed off. Travel was limited, and the chance to shop for those little joys in person was rare. So we decided to bring some of our favorite things to North Bay—our little way of adding a spark of excitement close to home.

Running Dear Sorella was such an incredible experience. Kristen and I got to connect with so many amazing people in our community and share our favorite styles. But as time went on, life pulled us in different directions. We both wanted to spread our wings, explore new career paths, and see more of the world. Eventually, we closed the shop, feeling that Dear Sorella would always be a special chapter in our story.

Fast forward to today, and so much has changed! I’m now a new mom with a one-year-old son, and I’ve spent the past couple of months diving into my work with my digital marketing studio, fable & frame. Kristen, meanwhile, is engaged and planning her wedding. Life’s full and wonderful—but as I’ve settled into these new roles, I found myself missing a creative space just for me.

I originally tried to relaunch Dear Sorella as a blog earlier this year, but I struggled to keep up and, honestly, it fell off my radar. This time around, I’m determined to do things differently. I’m committing to consistency and building a space you can count on—a reliable source for everything from style tips and life moments to the small joys that make each day beautiful.

So, I’m thrilled to reintroduce Dear Sorella—not as a shop this time, but as a lifestyle blog. This space will be our personal outlet to share our love of fashion, beauty, motherhood, and everything in between. It’s a way to explore who we are right now and hopefully connect with others who feel the same pull to rediscover themselves in new seasons of life.

I can’t wait to share all that’s coming up. Whether you’ve followed us since the early Dear Sorella days or are just joining, I’m so grateful to have you here. Let’s dive into this new chapter together!
