What My Twenties Taught Me and Why I’m Ready for My Thirties

I’m officially 30 today!!! It’s hard to believe, but here we are—the end of one decade and the start of another. I know it’s just a number, but it feels significant, like closing a book and opening a fresh new chapter. My twenties were full of lessons, incredible memories, and so much growth, and now I feel ready to embrace what comes next—my thirties.

Looking back, my twenties were some of the most transformative years of my life. I earned my degrees, bought and sold our first house, got engaged, launched a business, got married, moved across the country and back, and, most importantly, became a mom. Each of those moments left its mark on me and helped me grow into the person I am today.

Through all of it, I learned some pretty powerful lessons:

  • Home isn’t about a place—it’s where your family is. No matter where we lived or how far we traveled, I always felt grounded as long as I had my loved ones close.

  • There’s beauty in the mundane. The quiet routines of day-to-day life may seem small, but they’re the moments I find myself treasuring the most.

  • Big goals are great, but happiness is found in the now. It’s important to dream big and work hard, but I’ve learned to appreciate where I am right now, even as I reach for more.

As I step into my thirties, I feel ready—not because I have it all figured out, but because I’m embracing what this new chapter has to offer. People always say your thirties are some of the best years of your life, and I can see why. It’s a chance to take everything I’ve learned, everything I’ve built, and make it even better.

So, here’s to more beautiful moments, more lessons, and more growth. Here’s to appreciating the journey and embracing whatever comes next.

If you’re stepping into a new chapter too—whether it’s a new decade, a new year, or just a new season of life—I hope you can reflect on what’s behind you with gratitude and step forward with excitement.
